Frequently asked questions
What does swesee need on my Mac?
macOS 15 or later, plus the swesee companion CLI (swesee-service). Both your iPhone and your Mac need to be on the same Wi-Fi network so they can find each other.
Why does swesee ask for Local Network permission?
swesee uses Bonjour to discover the companion service running on your Mac. iOS requires apps to ask permission before browsing the local network. swesee uses this permission only to find the companion service — nothing else.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No, never. swesee has no cloud component. File contents and git data travel only between your Mac and your iPhone over your local Wi-Fi network. There are no analytics, no telemetry, and no third-party SDKs.
